                    Participate in project initiation and preparation of initial budgets.

                    Participate in value engineering workshops as to monitor and update projects budgets, carrying out cost comparison for alternatives.

                    Assist in establishing  client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.

                    Prepare bills of quantities.

                    Liaise with other department to ensure packages are well identified before tenders.

                    Prepare monthly reports for monitoring all projects promptly to the project manager and management team.

                    Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management’s review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.

                    Responsible for implementation of a Cost Control framework, monitor actual cost against budget, commitments and prepare and present budget/cost forecasting reports to management.

                    Establish the final account for work packages mainly with respect to re-measurement, steel ratio/price escalation,advance payment recovery etc.

                    Monitor the actual cash out VS.planned

                    Monitor the anticipated final accounts of each project VS. Budget and updated the EAC by adding any VO, PO &claims.

                    Maintain comprehensive logs for VOs,Claims and PO’s.

                    Analyze the requirements and specification of a project and determine the cost involved to launch such a project.

                    Review, determine and recommend on all payment applications

                    Participate in value Engineering Studies to monitor and update the set budget.

                    Carry out cost comparisons o falternative design or Construction solutions as requested.

                    Issue payment certificates correctly and in a timely manner

                    Analyze variances.

                    Assist in preparing final account after assuring the contractual obligations have been met.

                    Participate in the preparation of cost report.

                    Periodically update department’s logs and reporting.

                    Monitor letter of guarantees and bonds.

                    Ensure records and documents are filed and maintained in line with Company procedures.

                    Bachelor of Engineering.

                    3-5 years of experience in the cost field.

                    Ability to work independently, and as a team member, with minimal supervision

                    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

                    Proficient in Microsoft applications Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) & Primavera as well.
